WatrHub is the only source of predictive market information on how, when, and why these water infrastructure investments will be made. Our AI engine transforms millions of public documents into actionable sales leads and market insights. Technology Vendors and Engineering Firms subscribe to WatrHub to secure their next water utility clients and bring their advanced, efficient technologies to our aging water infrastructure. We are looking for a Product Manager to drive WatrHub's Product Roadmap and own the strategic direction of our products. We sell disruptive products to one of the world's largest and most critical industries that has been set in its way for decades. The majority of large players in our industry rely on WatrHub for AI-powered Market Intelligence. Our technology uses sophisticated machine learning to digest data from millions of public documents into actionable market insights. Developing and enhancing products that changes the an industry works can be challenging and we need the right product leadership to help us achieve this. As Product Manager, this is your mission. You are excited by the opportunity to deliver compelling products, features, and technical capabilities that make our data more useful to our users and to solve our clients' biggest pain points. Reporting into our Chief Product Officer you will interact with all of our teams and clients to define the requirements and ultimately deliver products that are mission-critical, easy to use, elegant, and magical. Strong communication, collaboration and organization skills are essential to this role. We expect you to be self-motivated and excited by the prospect of working with Management, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success to achieve our Product Roadmap objectives. The ideal candidate has stellar software product management skills with the technical chops to bring those product concepts to life under tight deadlines. They have been through several end to end product development cycles and have an affinity towards developing disruptive data products or information services. The position will be based out of our Toronto Headquarters. Requirements What You Will Accomplish
Spend time with clients and users and perform market research to develop a deep empathy for their information challenges, and be able to document, analyze, and synthesize their needs into a compelling product vision
Become an owner of the product roadmap and maintain a prioritized groomed backlog of features. Keep internal and external roadmaps up-to-date; Measure, monitor and pave the path to business value
Author & design high quality specifications and communicate specific, actionable requirements to your product, design, and engineering teammates; Be the leader of our product, and voice of the customer within your scrum team, so everyone knows what they’re building and why
Be hands-on and Technical. Design, Prototype, Configure - validate solutions rapidly to ensure we solve the right problems, in the right order.
Lead all aspects of product releases including the plan and execution of go to market activities
Assisting product marketing to develop new sales tools, including collateral, white papers, presentations, web content, and other customer and channel communications
Own your results and report out to stakeholders and management on the adoption, engagement uptake of products & features launched in-market and the business value derived.
Skills and Requirements
2+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise-level software targeted at a vertical market (founder or growth-stage company experience a plus)
The ability to think “big picture” and develop a compelling vision for your product or feature
Define features, communicate their impact and feasibility, and maintain a vetted product backlog as new ideas arise.
Over 2 years’ experience with defining Epics and Stories and participating in Scrum meetings
A hallmark of bringing major features to market fast, and iterating based on customer feedback
Experience in software development and web technologies — you don’t write the code, but you can ask questions and understand how the tech stack impacts your product
A proven collaborator and a strong communicator. You've successfully overseen the launch of products from ideation to support
Someone who understands how to look at business objectives with a product-centric mindset
Not afraid of moving parts and changing timelines - no matter the task, you'll get it done
Performing primary and secondary market research in an evolutionary market where needs are not well defined
