Intern Product Management, AutoCAD Location: San Francisco, CA Job ID: 18WD31158 Position Overview As a Product Management Intern on the AutoCAD team, you’ll have a direct role in shaping the future of AutoCAD. You’ll pair with Experience Designers (XD) and Software Developers (SWD) to co-develop a product design that helps us define the AutoCAD roadmap and realize our product vision. This will be a hands on-role where you’ll use interviews, customer visits, and other research methods to identify customer pain points, and conduct research and data analysis to prioritize opportunities. You will then define product requirements, develop concepts to meet those requirements, and conduct user research to challenge your assumptions and validate your designs. As the Product manager, you’ll be the individual responsible for coordinating a cross-functional team in this effort. Successful completion of this project may result in the development of a new feature with significant impact on AutoCAD. Responsibilities Driving a cross-functional team of product management, XD, and SWD to develop a cohesive product plan Defining outcomes that will shape development and design of the product Planning and participating in market and user research to identify new product features, trends, and opportunities that will drive Autodesk’s business growth Utilizing the Autodesk Data Platform to conduct quantitative analysis on feature usage and user workflows, driving insights toward product development Defining requirements for the product solutions that address key customer needs and identifying the key assumptions that require validation Working with other product managers to identify key in-product and/or cross-product workflows, new markets, and driving product strategy and adoption Preferred Qualifications You are or have a strong desire to be a product person Are passionate about the industries we serve. You are a strategic thinker and are comfortable making and communicating important decisions You communicate your reasoning through writing, orally, and visually You are good at building collaborative relationships Full-time student pursuing an MBA at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post-internship to be eligible for internship participation You have previous experience working with a product development team Have experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment or have knowledge of CAD tools Internships @ Autodesk Our summer internship program runs for ten to twelve weeks from June 2019–August 2019. We start interviewing in January and continue to on a rolling basis. We accept online applications through March but prioritize early submissions. Each internship project is assigned to a university recruiter who will review your qualifications. You may be considered for other roles that you didn’t directly apply for.
