You will be responsible for building out our advertising and partner platforms and business lines. You will partner with our advertising operation team, sales team, and business development team to drive strategy, product roadmap and business results.
Our advertising business is strong and growing, with significant investment planned for 2019 to unlock direct deals and unique advertising experiences on platform. Our partner business, allowing partner content to be paired with our study tools, is just getting started. There is significant opportunity to build in both areas.
At Quizlet, you will be involved in every step of the product development process. From deeply understanding users, partners & advertisers, analyzing metrics and building a roadmap, to working with engineers, designers and other product managers to revolutionize the learning experience for our users around the world. You will help Quizlet stay a free product for students everywhere by unlocking value for advertisers, users and partners with seamless, value-added experiences. You love to sweat the details and deeply understand the systems you own - from revenue to metrics to integration intricacies. You will bring a passion for building world-class products and will be excited to thrive and take ownership in a small startup environment.
This role can be based in either San Francisco or Denver. Expected travel is 2-4 days per month.
4+ years in a Product Management role, with 1+ year focused on advertising at a consumer company
Demonstrated success in accelerating ads revenue growth.
Excellent analytical skills with a “test and learn” mindset.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills with a high attention to detail. Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape.
High integrity individual who is enthusiastic about building a great company for the long term, and making a huge, positive impact in the world and on education.
Strong leadership qualities with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
Experience building and integrating into partner APIs preferred
Experience working with online advertising technology systems preferred (e.g. campaign measurement, demand side platforms, ad exchanges)
