Changing how the world schedules

The nature of work is changing and we’re at the center of it all. Since 2013, Calendly has been on a mission to take the work out of connecting so that our customers can accomplish more.

We’re obsessed with providing an elegant, delightful experience for our customers across industries like sales, recruiting, customer success and education. This shapes how we develop, design, market, sell, support and work as a team. We treat each other with respect and understanding, put first things first and never settle. While we’re results driven, we always make time to learn, grow and have fun celebrating our accomplishments.

With our highly disruptive business model, we’re experiencing exciting growth. We’re looking for more people to join our team and help shape a product used by more than a million people worldwide.

About the opportunity

Calendly is currently looking for a Principal Product Manager who will help lead and inspire our core product team to build on the success of the Calendly product, which is the best way to schedule meetings between people and teams, period. Product Managers at Calendly are responsible for the complete product offering, from early stage research and ideation, through implementation and iteration based on key success metrics. We're dedicated to agile methodology and are believers in 'lean', which means we despise documentation for documentation's sake. We are deeply self-driven and do our very best at all times to validate assumptions about our users with various types of testing. We are not looking for product managers who just want to concentrate on one area—we need you to be eager to deliver across the entirety of the product development lifecycle. We would love for you to bring experience that you can impart to the rest of us, and equally have the interest to learn from others also.

At Calendly, you’ll have the opportunity to impact work that matters and help us maintain our high growth. You will be working in an environment where collegial sparring is key to the best ideas. You will also be expected to inspire the broader Calendly team, who work together to make this product the best in its category and fulfill our vision to deliver a fantastic product. You will partner with seasoned engineering and design managers to plan, drive and execute on key product initiatives that cover multiple features. You can translate your innovative ideas into features very rapidly in a meritocratic environment and enjoy generous rewards for high performance. Over your first year, you will get to author your own vision, mission, strategy and objectives for your team in line with company strategy, talk to customers and deepen your customer instinct consistently, ship multiple features, build trust across team partners and establish yourself as a voice for our product both internally and externally.

Some challenges you’ll get to tackle

  • You’ll be a key stakeholder in defining the vision and strategy for Calendly
  • Work with and influence platform teams and drive joint planning, execution and success
  • Gather and prioritize feature requests from customers and help improve the way we build and ship amazing software
  • Drive user research and reviewing data to inform product strategy
  • Stay up-to-date on the many ways our customers use Calendly to get their jobs done
  • Represent the product internally and at all-hands, as appropriate

About You
You should apply if you have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management
  • Exceptional skill and experience managing and inspiring a product team/squad and a strong interest in leading a team to crush their goals and metrics
  • Proven record of shipping a decent sized SAAS product through the entire product cycle, and can thrive under deadline pressure
  • Deep understanding and experience building cloud products and services, with motivation to ‘remove the pain’ for customers
  • Strong working knowledge of the cloud ecosystem and technologies
  • Previous experience in the scheduling and meetings space a strong plus
  • Computer Science or technical degree strongly preferred
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (we do not sponsor at this time)
