Intern Strategy-Planning Software User Experience B2C B2B

Job Description

Intern Product Management, AutoCAD
Location: San Francisco, CA
Job ID: 18WD31158

Position Overview

As a Product Management Intern on the AutoCAD team, you’ll have a direct role in shaping the future of AutoCAD. You’ll pair with Experience Designers (XD) and Software Developers (SWD) to co-develop a product design that helps us define the AutoCAD roadmap and realize our product vision.

This will be a hands on-role where you’ll use interviews, customer visits, and other research methods to identify customer pain points, and conduct research and data analysis to prioritize opportunities. You will then define product requirements, develop concepts to meet those requirements, and conduct user research to challenge your assumptions and validate your designs. As the Product manager, you’ll be the individual responsible for coordinating a cross-functional team in this effort. Successful completion of this project may result in the development of a new feature with significant impact on AutoCAD.

Responsibilities
  • Driving a cross-functional team of product management, XD, and SWD to develop a cohesive product plan
  • Defining outcomes that will shape development and design of the product
  • Planning and participating in market and user research to identify new product features, trends, and opportunities that will drive Autodesk’s business growth
  • Utilizing the Autodesk Data Platform to conduct quantitative analysis on feature usage and user workflows, driving insights toward product development
  • Defining requirements for the product solutions that address key customer needs and identifying the key assumptions that require validation
  • Working with other product managers to identify key in-product and/or cross-product workflows, new markets, and driving product strategy and adoption

Preferred Qualifications
  • You are or have a strong desire to be a product person
  • Are passionate about the industries we serve.
  • You are a strategic thinker and are comfortable making and communicating important decisions
  • You communicate your reasoning through writing, orally, and visually
  • You are good at building collaborative relationships
  • Full-time student pursuing an MBA at an accredited program in the United States with at least one academic term to complete post-internship to be eligible for internship participation
  • You have previous experience working with a product development team
  • Have experience using AutoCAD in a professional environment or have knowledge of CAD tools

You may be considered for other roles that you didn’t directly apply for.
